About Dallah Hospital
Dallah Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join its professional team. This full-time role is integral to maintaining efficient clinic operations and ensuring the delivery of high-standard patient care.
Role Summary
The Dental Assistant is responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow within the assigned surgery, working in close cooperation with dentists, colleagues, and superiors. This position focuses on providing effective, efficient, and high-standard care to patients while strictly adhering to all departmental policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist/surgeon in all aspects of dental practice and procedures.
- Provide a warm and welcoming reception to patients, guiding them from the waiting room to the surgery and back to reception.
- Collaborate with the receptionist on administrative tasks, including processing referrals, insurance cards, ICD codes, invoices, and approvals.
- Manage telephone communications in accordance with established clinic procedures and policies.
- Participate in patient and family education to enhance their understanding and involvement in care decisions.
Operational Duties and Clinic Maintenance
- Implement universal precautions to maintain stringent infection control standards across all clinical practices.
- Ensure the continuous availability of stocks and other necessary items within the surgery, noting low stock levels for timely replenishment.
- Prepare the surgery for daily operations, including activating equipment, checking appointments, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
- Operate and maintain all dental equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (***, seeking clarification when unsure.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records, including invoices, charges, and the laboratory work diary.
- Perform comprehensive end-of-day procedures, including cleaning and disinfecting dental chairs, units, accessories, sinks, and work surfaces, and proper disposal of clinical waste.
- Conduct weekly and monthly maintenance tasks, such as cleaning displays, checking stocks, cleaning equipment, and preparing statistical reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant dental assistant position.
- Education and Certification:
- Essential: Dental Degree.
- Desirable: Diploma in Doctor of Dental Medicine.
