The Energy Practice and Role Overview

The Energy Practice at A&M leverages deep industry expertise to address complex business challenges and deliver sustainable improvements. Teams work in critical situations, assisting clients with strategic definition, transformation planning and execution, investment case development, business plans, and complex merger integrations or carve-outs. Clients include sovereign wealth and private equity funds, government ministries, and corporations across various industries. A&M is expanding in the Middle East and is seeking a Director - Energy KSA to be based in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage diverse and complex work streams.
• Develop storylines and manage day-to-day client relations with experienced professionals.
• Develop and implement forward-looking concepts.
• Support clients in business transformation, performance improvement, organization rightsizing, operational turnaround, and pre- and post-deal activities.
• Build on existing leadership skills and motivate team members.
• Assist in practice growth, broaden market routes, and develop plans for deal flow and sustainable business development.
• Contribute to business development, including developing pitches and selling implementation work from initial diagnostic phases.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes

• A successful track record of value creation with operational, consulting, and commercial skills within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
• Experience working with management and investors to accelerate performance, overcome challenges, and maximize value.
• An entrepreneurial approach with established networks across the Middle East.
• A demonstrable track record of thought leadership is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and unpredictable environment.
• A hands-on, non-hierarchical operator capable of managing relationships at all levels and across cultures.
• Driven by values and integrity, with a direct communication style, building confidence and leading by example.
• Demonstrated ability to balance high-level strategy with detailed execution.
