About the Role

Talents First Global is seeking a Director of Cyber Security on behalf of a prominent organization within Saudi Arabia's regulated insurance sector. This full-time leadership position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is critical for leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, compliance, and resilience.

Role Overview and Impact

Reporting directly to executive leadership with visibility to the Board, this role holds significant impact at the core of regulatory alignment and executive decision-making. The Director will lead cybersecurity initiatives for a major player in the Kingdom's insurance sector, ensuring robust protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve security systems architecture, aligning with emerging cyber threats and business objectives.
• Lead post-breach incident investigations, conduct impact analyses, and develop actionable risk mitigation plans.
• Oversee identity and access management protocols, safeguarding critical assets and data across the organization.
• Manage external vendor and third-party relationships, including security audits and compliance reviews.
• Ensure robust compliance with IA, CCHI, and other regulatory bodies through continuously reviewed policies and controls.
• Champion a dynamic cybersecurity strategy, integrating the latest intelligence, trends, and regulatory updates.
• Brief the executive team and Board, acting as a key advisor and strategic partner across all departments.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, preferably within the insurance sector or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity architecture, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on experience managing vendor ecosystems, Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols, and cyber risk frameworks.
• Fluency in frameworks and standards such as ISO, NIST, SOX, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

Technical Proficiency and Certifications

• Technical proficiency across Windows, Linux, UNIX, secure coding practices, and threat detection technologies.
• Holds key certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or equivalent.
