Job Description

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is essential for upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance across all site operations. The EHS professional will be responsible for implementing comprehensive EHS strategies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and cultivating a robust safety culture among all personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of all site-level EHS plans, procedures, and compliance obligations, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and documentation, and serve as the primary interface with statutory authorities during inspections to ensure zero non-compliances.
  • Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), implement effective mitigation measures, and perform regular reviews of work areas to identify and rectify unsafe conditions.
  • Lead comprehensive incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and ensure the timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Organize and deliver site-specific EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for all employees and contractors.
  • Periodically assess the effectiveness of training programs and implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within a project or construction environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing site-level EHS plans and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory compliance and manage relationships with statutory authorities.
  • Experience in conducting hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in developing and delivering EHS training and awareness programs.
