About the Role

alfanar, a company headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an ENGINEER, TESTING & COMMI. CENTRAL. This full-time position involves commissioning and conducting tests on power plants prior to their operational phase, with an experience requirement of 0-1 years.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to execute testing and commissioning activities for power plants and substations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and updating project and new equipment test reports, including documentation of non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Conducting functional testing according to specified schemes and coordinating activities during customer inspections.
  • Resolving technical issues encountered during power plant testing and site commissioning.
  • Executing site testing and commissioning activities for substations or power plants, including equipment such as relays, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Adhering to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning processes.
  • Providing technical support through the review of design documents prior to their release.
  • Initiating continuous improvement processes and maintaining relevant records in consultation with the department manager.
  • Initiating corrective and preventive actions and maintaining associated records.

Role Accountabilities

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Training and leading subordinates to ensure effective task completion.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to team members.
  • Delegating assignments and ensuring fair distribution of tasks to maintain team morale.
  • Performing planned activities to meet operational and development targets within delivery schedules.
  • Utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints.
  • Providing periodic reports on deviations and task execution.
  • Resolving operational problems and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Coordinating written systems, policies, and procedures, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Complying with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Testing Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Testing Tools.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance principles.
  • Awareness of Safety procedures.
