The Opportunity: Engineering Manager

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a specific technical group or department, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. The position requires extensive progressive experience and multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge, operating under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a technical group or department.
• Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments with full responsibility.
• Plan and develop engineering tasks, including those concerned with unique or complex problems, exploring subject areas, defining scope, and selecting problems for investigation.
• Develop novel concepts and approaches to engineering challenges.
• Maintain liaison with units within the organization and individuals both internal and external to the company.
• Act independently on technical matters pertaining to the field of engineering.
• Manage a group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating their activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering.
• Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Proven experience in managing technical assignments and coordinating team activities.
• Ability to work independently and manage broad general objectives with administrative supervision.
• Strong leadership and people accountability skills.
