Estimation & Design Engineer LV/MV & Busbar Systems

About the Role

Westinghouse LVMV is seeking an Estimation & Design Engineer LV/MV & Busbar Systems to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience in LV switchgear solutions, focusing on design, estimation, and engineering calculations. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software, alongside a deep understanding of international standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create detailed designs for LV switchgear assemblies.
• Prepare accurate cost estimations for switchgear solutions based on project requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations, including short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and discrimination studies.
• Ensure designs meet technical requirements and comply with international standards and local regulations.
• Design control panels and integrate digital controllers and Building Management Systems (BMS) as required.
• Compile professional technical submittal files and documentation for project approvals.
• Assist in the prequalification process with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain a deep understanding of LV switchgear assembly processes and components.
• Work proficiently with Microsoft Applications and ERP software for project management and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in design and estimation for LV switchgear solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of international standards and local regulations related to LV switchgear.

Required Skills

• Ability to conduct comprehensive engineering calculations.
• Skill in designing control panels and integrating digital controllers and BMS.
• Proficiency in preparing technical submittal files and documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP software and Microsoft Applications.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear assembly processes and components.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis within the Westinghouse LVMV team. The role involves working with a diverse range of projects and collaborating with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
