About the Role: Exhibition Director, Cityscape West

Tahaluf is seeking an experienced Exhibition Director for the Cityscape West portfolio. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role requires over 10 years of experience in exhibition management. The Exhibition Director will play a key role in creating strategies for future growth and executing tactics to ensure the highest quality delivery for events within Portfolio 2, which includes Cityscape Global and Global Health Exhibition.

It operates as a joint venture between Informa PLC, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), and the Events Investment Fund (EIF). Tahaluf is recognized for its impact on the global events sector, organizing record-breaking events such as LEAP, Cityscape, Black Hat MEA, and CPHI Middle East. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, and successfully execute a strategy for the ongoing development of events, aligning with targets set by Tahaluf and strategic partners.
• Assume ultimate responsibility for digital and physical sales, visitor marketing, conference and content development, and onsite show operations.
• Ensure the event achieves its revenue, expenditure, and operating profit targets.
• Embrace, support, and maintain the team culture, ensuring team members feel content, inspired, and appreciated.
• Act as an ambassador for events, developing key relationships with clients, industry bodies, business leaders, and suppliers.
• Maintain a strong partnership with the Commercial Director, collaborating to ensure sales teams are focused and motivated.
• Successfully manage internal stakeholder relationships.
• Establish a trusted leadership partnership with the AVP and EVP to work on strategy, financial processes (budget & QF), and global growth opportunities.
• Position and maintain the show as the definitive event in its market, strengthening market share and brand identity.
• Create, manage, and deliver an annual budget and quarterly forecast.
• Define the focus and profile of the event in line with industry and user community needs.
• Create an environment that motivates, values, and supports staff success, including regular appraisals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Solid experience as an Exhibition Director, preferably within the B2B sector.
• Demonstrable strategic thinking and strategic planning experience.
• Strong business acumen and experience in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• A thorough understanding of the exhibitions industry, including the competitive landscape.
• Demonstrable experience in responding to key industry dynamics through event strategies and tactics.
• Experience in the Middle East, with Saudi experience being preferable.
• Relevant sector experience is preferable.
