Finance Manager

About the Role

SOL Business Solutions is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the full finance function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a hands-on professional capable of managing daily financial operations, building strong relationships with banking and financing partners, and providing clear financial insights to the leadership team. The position operates within a startup environment, necessitating an individual comfortable with developing processes from the ground up and working with limited resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Open, manage, and optimize company bank accounts and banking services.
• Negotiate and secure financing facilities, working capital lines, credit facilities, and LCs/LGs as needed.
• Prepare financial packages for banks, including financial statements, projections, and business cases, and follow up until approval.
• Monitor facility utilization, repayment schedules, covenants, and financing costs.
• Explore alternative funding options relevant to startups, such as SME financing programs and government-backed funding.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and daily/weekly cash position monitoring.
• Oversee collections and payables to maintain liquidity and prevent cash gaps.
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, tracking actuals against plans.
• Produce monthly financial statements and management reports for the CEO and shareholders.
• Control costs and identify spending risks early.

Compliance and Operations

• Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements, including VAT and e-invoicing, and other regulatory filings.
• Oversee the accounting team and ensure the accuracy of records within the ERP/accounting system.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks on required documentation.
• Develop and improve finance policies, controls, and processes suitable for a growing company.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in finance management.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships with banks and financing partners.
• Experience in a startup environment, including building processes from scratch and working with limited resources.
• Proficiency in cash flow forecasting, financial management, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of ZATCA requirements and other relevant financial regulations.
