About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Fortinet Security Engineer to join their cybersecurity team in Riyadh. This is a Full-Time position requiring 2-5 years of experience in implementing, administering, and maintaining Fortinet security solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Fortinet Security Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive management of Fortinet security solutions across the enterprise environment. This includes ensuring the security, availability, and optimal performance of the organization’s security infrastructure through hands-on expertise in various Fortinet technologies.

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Fortinet security solutions including FortiAuthenticator, FortiEDR, FortiClient EMS/VPN, FortiWeb WAF, FortiMail, and FortiSandbox.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance of the security infrastructure, performing regular upgrades, patching, and configuration reviews.
• Implement and manage identity and access management solutions such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using FortiAuthenticator, integrating with systems like Active Directory and LDAP.
• Administer FortiEDR for endpoint protection and manage FortiClient EMS and VPN services for secure remote access.
• Configure and maintain FortiWeb Web Application Firewall (WAF) and FortiMail email security services.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and utilize FortiSandbox for malware analysis and advanced threat detection.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions with SIEM platforms and other security monitoring tools, supporting the implementation of the Fortinet Security Fabric architecture.

Required Technical Expertise

Candidates must possess strong hands-on experience with the following Fortinet security technologies:

• Fortinet Security Technologies: FortiAuthenticator, FortiEDR, FortiClient EMS & VPN, FortiWeb (WAF), FortiMail, FortiSandbox, and Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Security Concepts: Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Email Security, Web Application Security, Malware Analysis, Threat Detection & Incident Response.
• Networking & Integration: TCP/IP Networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN Technologies, LDAP, Active Directory, RADIUS, SIEM Integration, SSL/TLS Certificates, and Network Security Fundamentals.
• Security Operations: Security Monitoring, Log Analysis, Vulnerability Management, Incident Investigation, and understanding of Cybersecurity Frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet security solutions.
• Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise security platforms, including authentication systems, endpoint security, email security, and web application security.
• Experience integrating security solutions with Active Directory, LDAP, SIEM, and other third-party platforms.
• Experience supporting production security environments and handling security incidents.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

While not mandatory, the following are highly preferred:

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications, particularly Fortinet NSE Certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, or equivalent), Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP), Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist (FCSS), Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and good communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, with a strong attention to detail and a security-focused mindset.
