Full Stack Engineer & Team Lead (Laravel & React)

About the Role

Nextwo Co. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer & Team Lead with expertise in Laravel and React to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a native Arabic speaker who will be responsible for both hands-on feature development and leading a development team, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to project standards. The position is suited for a senior engineer with 5-10 years of experience who can balance technical contributions with team leadership and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full command of both Laravel and React stacks, developing features end-to-end including endpoints, resources, UI, and tests to meet project standards.
• Oversee the team's delivery, ensuring accountability for quality and alignment with requirements.
• Act as the primary reviewer for the team's work, identifying and resolving issues internally before customer review or QA.
• Coordinate and organize task assignments within the team, moving away from self-assignment to ensure balanced workload distribution.
• Serve as the central point of contact for planning and status updates, communicating effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and contribute to raising overall quality standards through coaching and practical guidance.
• Balance hands-on development work with responsibilities in code review, project planning, and team leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of full-stack development experience, with strong practical command of both Laravel and React.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, reviewing, or mentoring a development team.
• Proven ability to deliver features end-to-end (backend, frontend, tests) to a high-quality standard.
• Experience with code review processes and in establishing or enforcing coding standards.
• Comfortable with owning task planning, assignment, and serving as the primary point of contact for a development team.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and cross-functional.
• Must be a native Arabic speaker.
