About the Role: Head of MENA Office Products

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a self-starter to lead the Office Products category within the MENA Retail - Consumer Electronics division. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, requires an individual who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment, build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of program initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex business, technology, and operational processes at Amazon and with external partners, enabling them to develop optimal engagement models.

Key Responsibilities

This externally facing role involves close collaboration with vendors and requires influencing internal and external stakeholders to adopt strategic directions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a buying and sourcing strategy for an established category.
  • Building and managing vendor relationships, including defining terms of trade and operating model contracts.
  • Owning the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the category to achieve top and bottom-line targets.
  • Driving projects to improve category profitability in collaboration with vendors, operations, and advertising teams.
  • Defining the selection assortment and sourcing deals for key events to provide customer value.
  • Ensuring best-in-class content quality to enhance conversion rates.
  • Negotiating marketing funds from vendors for category visibility.
  • Preparing, pitching, and closing Annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with vendors.
  • Conducting Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with vendors to discuss performance and improvements.
  • Supporting the Category Leader in driving new strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
  • Engaging with global partner teams to implement best practices.
  • Identifying automation opportunities to create scalable solutions and enhance key metrics such as selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Success in this role requires a broad skill set and a proven track record. Candidates must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, managing ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • High judgment and strong analytical talent.
  • Excellent business judgment and strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Deep curiosity and a passion for creating a world-class customer shopping experience.
  • Proficiency in document writing and concise communication.
