Head of Operations

About the Role

SAMA Holding Co- SAMA Construction ** is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead overall operational activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and involves driving the safe, efficient, timely, and profitable delivery of multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring delivery within approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, profitability, and resource optimization.
• Lead project planning, project controls, performance monitoring, and operational reporting.
• Optimize manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, contractual, and applicable Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
• Identify operational and project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
• Lead and develop high-performing project and operations teams.
• Provide operational input into business development, tendering, and project execution strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in construction and contracting.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior operations or project leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in the Saudi construction market is highly preferred.
• Experience in infrastructure, civil, building, industrial, or EPC projects is advantageous.
• PMP, PMI, or equivalent certification is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong background in project execution, project controls, cost management, construction management, and subcontractor management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is highly preferred.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational and field experience.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
