Role Overview

CareTech Careers is seeking an experienced Head Teacher to lead a Special Educational Needs (SEN) primary school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is part of an international initiative focused on enhancing SEN provision through inclusive learning environments. The position is full-time and offers a salary of up to £90,000 per annum, paid in local currency (SAR 37,500 per month), inclusive of accommodation and travel allowance.

About the Position

The Head Teacher will be responsible for the daily operations of the school, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, and student welfare. Working in collaboration with the Executive Principal and a multidisciplinary team, the role involves fostering a culture of high expectations and personalized support for students with diverse learning needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of inclusive education in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership aligned with the school's mission and values.
• Collaborate with the Executive Principal on strategic direction and continuous improvement.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Oversee curriculum design and implementation for SEN learners, adhering to international best practices.
• Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, incorporating evidence-based approaches.
• Promote professional development and mentoring for staff.
• Ensure compliance with KSA Ministry of Education guidelines and international safeguarding standards.
• Manage school operations, including staffing, budget, and resources.
• Prepare the school for accreditation and external inspections.
• Build relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community.
• Represent the school at regional and international events.
• Engage with partners to drive innovation in SEN provision.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven leadership experience in a SEN primary school, such as Head Teacher, Deputy Head, or equivalent senior role.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a SEN specialism.
• Demonstrated success in improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
• Expertise in curriculum development, inclusion strategies, and whole-school leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Experience in an international setting or different educational systems is beneficial but not essential.

Work Environment and Compensation

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000 per annum, paid in local currency (SAR 37,500 per month), which includes accommodation and travel allowances. Relocation support will be provided. Successful candidates must be eligible for an iqama.
