About the Health Care Aide Role

Extendicare is seeking a casual Health Care Aide to join their team in Eaux Claires. This part-time position involves providing direct care and support to residents according to their established care plans.

Key Responsibilities

As a Health Care Aide, your primary duties will revolve around assisting residents with their daily living activities as outlined in their individual care plans. This includes:

• Assisting residents with dressing and personal hygiene, including bathing and showering.
• Supporting residents during meal times, including assisting with eating.
• Providing assistance with toileting needs.
• Facilitating resident transfers and supporting their mobility.
• Preparing breakfast for residents, adhering to the posted menu and individual preferences.
• Taking responsibility for the maintenance of patient programming and rehabilitation activities, whether conducted individually or in groups.

Communication and Reporting

A crucial aspect of this role involves effective communication. You will be responsible for communicating any changes observed in a patient's functional status, particularly as it relates to their participation in individual or group programming and rehabilitation efforts.
