Hygiene Officer voco™

About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is seeking a Hygiene Officer for voco™ Riyadh. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 2-5 years of experience. The Hygiene Officer is responsible for maintaining hygiene standards to ensure all food served to guests and employees is free from contamination, and that all work areas conform to required hygiene and sanitation levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Propose and maintain minimum standards in all work areas, including kitchens, stores, receiving, and disposal areas, to adhere to required hygiene standards.
• Ensure effective and efficient maintenance of records related to the hotel's sanitation and hygiene efforts and programs.
• Formulate and maintain an up-to-date methodology manual that is constantly available for management review and use.
• Promote effective dissemination and coordination with the rest of the hotel team.
• Perform special assignments and projects as assigned by management.
• Conduct and chair the HACCP Monthly Meeting.
• Monitor, assist, and perform all procedures and protocols for maintaining an excellent sanitation and hygienic environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of work experience as a Hygiene Officer or Supervisor in a hotel or similar large restaurant complex. Experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage multi-faceted projects, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• A team player who values teamwork, possesses good team-building skills, and can communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

voco™ Riyadh is located on King Fahad Road in the heart of the city's business district, approximately 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport. The hotel is situated opposite the Ministry of Interior and close to other government offices.
