About the Role

Afaq Q Tech General Trading is seeking an Instock Manager, Strategic Initiatives, MENA, to join the MENA A-Now team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves building new business initiatives from the ground up, focusing on grocery operations. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of navigating a fast-paced environment, fostering cross-functional relationships, and assuming ownership within the program.

Role Context and Objectives

This position requires an understanding of complex business, technology, and operations processes, both internally and with partners, to devise optimal engagement models. The Instock Manager will influence internal and external stakeholders and leadership to align with strategic directions. Key objectives include developing a buying and sourcing strategy for new categories, ensuring flawless execution, and continuously analyzing metrics to drive business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily inventory health metrics and accuracy.
• Drive strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or aged inventory.
• Implement and maintain inventory control processes.
• Monitor shrinkage and damage rates.
• Analyze historical data to predict future inventory needs.
• Create demand forecasts and recommend order quantities.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with operations, transportation, and procurement teams.
• Drive alignment between planning and execution teams.
• Escalate and resolve inventory-related issues across networks.
• Lead projects to improve instock performance.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
• Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and coach team members on inventory management best practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience between 5 to 10 years in a relevant field.
• Ability to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Capacity to manage ambiguity and competing priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated high judgment and analytical talent.
• Strong document writing skills with concise communication.
