About the Internship

Mercer in Riyadh is offering a 6-month paid internship for students or recent graduates. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with investment managers, conduct asset allocation studies, and support portfolio construction. The internship includes structured training and mentorship, with the potential for a full-time role at Mercer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in investment manager searches, asset allocation studies, and portfolio construction reviews.
  • Assisting in the development of client-facing materials, including analysis, commentary, performance reporting, and advice.
  • Operating Mercer's proprietary tools to analyze asset allocations and investment managers, and critically interpreting results.
  • Liaising with investment managers, record keepers, and custodians to obtain or clarify client data.
  • Supporting investment consultants in managing client and prospect relationships.
  • Contributing to internal projects and addressing ad-hoc inquiries from clients, managers, auditors, and colleagues.
  • Engaging confidently in discussions with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfort with numerical data and nuance, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Some experience with data analysis and creating clear presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and skills.
  • Adaptability to shifting deadlines and changing client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Actively working towards a CFA designation.
