About the Investor Program Manager Role
Tahaluf, a leading B2B live and on-demand events organizer in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Investor Program Manager for its Kingdom of Gaming initiative. This is a 6-month contract role based in Riyadh. Tahaluf is a joint venture between Informa PLC, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), and the Events Investment Fund (EIF), known for organizing major events like LEAP, Cityscape, Black Hat MEA, and CPHI Middle East.
Role Overview
This position requires deep expertise in gaming investment and deal-making to enhance the Investor and Startup Programme infrastructure. The primary objective is to design investment programmes and deal-making activations that establish the Gaming event as a premier investment destination within the global gaming calendar. The role also involves supporting broader investor and startup programmes across other events where sector knowledge and investor relationships are valuable. The incumbent will provide sector depth, engage with the gaming and tech investment community, and elevate the investor experience across all relevant events.
Gaming Investment Programme Responsibilities
- Design investment programmes and deal-making formats for the gaming conference to attract international investors, publishers, and funds, setting a global standard for capital-meets-talent events.
- Build and manage the gaming investor pipeline, identifying and conducting targeted outreach to gaming VCs, publisher venture arms, sovereign funds with gaming mandates, angel networks, and accelerator programmes.
- Oversee the investor application and vetting process, verifying fund credentials, investment thesis alignment, and genuine intent to engage with gaming studios and founders.
- Develop the content and format for all gaming investment activations, including reverse pitches, hosted buyer programmes, closed-door investor roundtables, and live deal-making showcases.
- Collaborate with the B2B Content Producer to ensure the investment content track is credible, current, and attracts the appropriate calibre of participants.
- Design the end-to-end investor experience, including the investor lounge, curated sessions, concierge meetings, and investor-only programming to deliver a premium environment.
- Manage the investor-side matchmaking process, working with internal teams to ensure high match quality and deal relevance.
- Handle investor delegate communications, matchmaking logistics, and on-site facilitation to ensure the programme delivers tangible outcomes.
- Track and report on investment programme outcomes, including deals initiated, capital committed, and follow-up meetings generated.
Cross-Portfolio Investor Support
- Support investor programmes across other events within the portfolio by contributing investor relationships, outreach, and programming input where sector knowledge adds value.
- Contribute to investor outreach campaigns across portfolio events in collaboration with marketing and cross-functional teams.
- Provide investor programme coverage for senior team members during high-volume pre-event and on-ground periods.
- Curate a balanced, high-quality investor room for each assigned event, reflecting the event’s sector focus and strategic objectives.
- Programme investor-focused roundtables, LP introductions, and deal-flow sessions in collaboration with the special value programmes team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date investor records in internal management tools, including fund details, investment thesis, meeting history, and post-event feedback.
- Track investor programme KPIs across assigned events, such as investor count, AUM represented, meetings held, investment signals generated, and investor NPS.
- Conduct post-event investor debriefs, gather feedback, and share improvement recommendations with the program lead.
- Maintain and nurture investor relationships year-round to ensure continuity for future event editions.
- Develop new ideas for value-driven investor programme features and lead on concept note development for future editions.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in investor relations, investor programme management, or VC/LP engagement, ideally within an event, ecosystem, or gaming industry context.
- Demonstrated expertise in the gaming investment landscape, including VCs, publisher venture arms, sovereign funds with gaming mandates, and angel networks.
- Proven experience in curating and managing high-touch investor experiences, focusing on genuine investor engagement design beyond registration and logistics.
- A strong existing network within the gaming and tech investment community, particularly in MENA, APAC, or Europe.
- Understanding of the gaming investment chain, from pre-seed accelerators to sovereign capital deployment.
- Sector knowledge in cybersecurity, fintech, or other technology verticals is an advantage for cross-portfolio event support.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to manage senior investor relationships professionally and with discretion.
- Comfort working across multiple simultaneous events with diverse investors, geographies, and sector focuses.
- Experience with investor management platforms, CRM tools, and event management systems.
- Strong written English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
Required Expertise
The core requirement for this role is deep expertise in gaming investment and deal-making. Candidates must understand how funding rounds, publishing deals, and M&A transactions operate within the gaming industry and possess knowledge of key regional investors, funds, and studios, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. The ability to engage confidently in investor conversations and hold one's own with fund managers, portfolio directors, and publishing executives is essential. The successful candidate will be capable of designing investor programmes from inception to execution, attracting international capital and elevating the standard for gaming investment activations. Furthermore, the role requires the ability to integrate seamlessly into broader investor and startup programmes across events, adding immediate value through established relationships and sector credibility.
