Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Junior Sales Engineer will support the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities within lighting projects, lighting control systems, and home automation solutions. A key aspect of this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of clients, including contractors, consultants, architects, interior designers, developers, and end-users. The position requires active participation in managing the sales cycle, from client meetings and quotation preparation to proposal follow-ups and negotiation support. Coordination with engineering, procurement, and project teams is essential to ensure successful project execution. The role also includes identifying opportunities for maintenance contracts and additional services with existing clients, monitoring market trends, and preparing sales reports for management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the identification and development of sales opportunities in lighting projects, lighting control systems, home automation, and maintenance services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, interior designers, developers, and end clients.
• Assist in managing the sales cycle, including client meetings, preparing quotations, and following up on proposals.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for successful project execution.
• Develop an understanding of lighting products, control systems, and smart home technologies.
• Follow up with existing clients to maintain relationships and identify maintenance contract opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and activity reports.
• Represent the company professionally during client meetings and site visits.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and develop technical and commercial knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the lighting, electrical, home automation, or construction industry.
• Currently based in KSA, preferably residing in Riyadh, or willing to relocate to Riyadh if based elsewhere in KSA.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, developers, or end clients is advantageous.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of lighting products, lighting controls, or smart home systems is preferred.
