This full-time position for a Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization II is based in Riyadh.

Role Overview

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to Ma'aden's growth and the advancement of the mining sector. The Lead Specialist will be instrumental in engineering and virtualization efforts, supporting the company's ambitious development plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement virtualization or semantic layer solutions.
• Support production data access services, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Apply data virtualization concepts including abstraction, federation, semantic layers, query optimization, and caching strategies.
• Implement and manage access governance, auditing, and security controls for data access services.
• Design consumable data services aligned with enterprise definitions and models.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for production data services.
• Collaborate effectively across engineering, governance, and business teams.
• Manage stakeholders including BI teams, application teams, and governance stakeholders.
• Guide teams and vendors through technical leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in data engineering/integration.
• Hands-on experience delivering virtualization or semantic layer solutions.
