About the Legal Secretary Role

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Legal Secretary will be responsible for a range of administrative and organizational tasks to support legal professionals. This includes:
- Collecting, archiving, and maintaining correspondence and documents related to case files in accordance with established retention policies.
- Organizing and managing legal libraries.
- Assisting legal professionals with research on legal publications, regulations, and court decisions pertinent to pending cases.
- Managing correspondence for legal proceedings, contracts, and legal disputes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Preparing and submitting work reports, ensuring proper documentation and saving of all records.
Core Functions and Tasks
The core functions of this role involve providing comprehensive administrative assistance to legal professionals. Key tasks include:
- Providing direct administrative support to lawyers and other legal staff.
- Reviewing legal documents, managing correspondence, and maintaining court schedules and archives.
- Preparing and submitting regular work reports.
- Maintaining office equipment, performing basic maintenance, and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate technicians.
- Keeping accurate records of completed work and tasks.
