About the Lifeguard Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a responsible and vigilant Lifeguard to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all individuals utilizing our facilities. The role requires a proactive approach to supervision and adherence to established safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a constant and vigilant watch over swimming pool areas, adhering to operating procedures to ensure the safety of all users and staff.
• Interact responsibly with the public, welcoming all facility users and ensuring a positive experience.
• Comply with all Pool Safe Operating Procedures and Health and Safety procedures at all times.
• Regularly check the safety and condition of equipment within the area of responsibility, reporting any damage or malfunction immediately.
• Assist in the preparation and operation of events and activities, including equipment setup, dismantling, and minor repairs.
• Ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facilities.
• Handle and record lost property in accordance with established procedures.
• Patrol all facility areas to ensure correct usage, making necessary adjustments to maintain order and safety.
• Assist with the supervision and control of children's activities, including parties and play schemes.
• Perform routine checks of customer receipts to verify proof of payment for entry.
• Ensure all pool equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use.
• Report any maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
• Attend relevant training courses as required by IHG.
• Follow all company safety policies.

Administrative and Operational Duties

• Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
• Maintain accurate records as required by provincial regulations.
• Ensure the facility is maintained in peak condition at all times, with a focus on operations and cleanliness.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A valid Lifeguard Certification issued or recognized by the Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation is mandatory.
• A valid First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Lifeguard in a hotel, resort, sports club, or recreational facility is preferred.
• Good communication and guest service skills are essential.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Work Environment and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires zero to one year of experience. The work environment is focused on maintaining safety and high standards within IHG Hotels & Resorts facilities.
