The Role of Logistics Manager

DAR AL OMRAN is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead and oversee all site supply chain, traffic management, equipment mobilization, and material handling operations for major civic supervision projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, ensures that all site logistics, customs clearances, storage facilities, and transport workflows adhere to project schedules, safety standards, and ISO quality management guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Master Logistics & Traffic Management Plan.
  • Coordinate site access, temporary roads, material drop-off zones, and heavy machinery movements to prevent bottlenecks in civic areas.
  • Manage off-site storage, laydown yards, and material staging areas to maintain smooth site operations.
  • Enforce ISO Quality (9001), Environmental (14001), and Occupational Health & Safety (45001) standards across all logistics operations.
  • Oversee material shipping, port clearances, KSA customs procedures, and local transportation permits in compliance with Saudi regulations.
  • Audit contractor logistics logs, delivery schedules, and inventory tracking systems for accuracy and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with municipal traffic authorities, local KSA ministries, and direct contractors for oversized loads or road closures.
  • Establish contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, long-lead equipment items, or site storage constraints.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly logistics tracking reports for the Project Director and Client.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor of Science (*** in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Supply Chain, or equivalent).
  • Certified ISO Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001).
  • CILT or CSCP credentials are preferred.
  • Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in logistics management, particularly within large-scale civic supervision projects.
