The Role: Logistics Operations Team Leader

Lenovo is seeking a Logistics Operations Team Leader to oversee global inbound supply chain operations, with a primary focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) site. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves managing carrier performance, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs), and collaborating with internal teams to facilitate high-priority shipments. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily global inbound freight movements, with specific operational oversight for KSA site shipments.
• Track carrier performance, including on-time delivery, transit times, and acceptance rates, by developing and owning carrier Business Management Systems (BMS).
• Conduct regular check-ins with procurement and carriers to prioritize critical cargo, resolve bottlenecks, and manage urgent freight.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement and Freight Forwarding partners to align operational capacity, review carrier SLAs, and support vendor reviews.
• Guide and support the inbound logistics team, ensuring adherence to standard procedures and efficient completion of daily tasks.
• Manage outbound carrier relationships to ensure seamless pickup execution, including on-time truck arrivals and fulfilled bookings.
• Identify bottlenecks in the inbound pipeline and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance visibility and reduce transit delays.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Solid background in global freight operations, supply chain logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of global inbound processes, customs, and freight operations, with preferred familiarity or experience handling KSA supply chain logistics.
• Experience running carrier reviews and managing performance using concrete metrics.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, tracking tools, and reporting in Excel and Power BI.
