Manager Development

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Manager - Development to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves leading and managing complex asset development projects from strategic planning and concept development through to operational readiness. The Development Manager ensures all activities align with approved business plans, development strategies, quality expectations, and governance requirements.

Key Accountabilities

The individual in this role will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of development projects, ensuring successful execution across all stages. Key accountabilities include:

• Leading development activities throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
• Driving Stage Gate submissions and securing governance approvals.
• Managing consultant procurement, contracts, and performance.
• Overseeing design quality, budgets, programmes, and risk management.
• Leading stakeholder engagement with operators, delivery partners, and authorities.
• Supporting construction, commissioning, and handover processes.

Responsibilities by Development Phase

Responsibilities are structured across various development phases, ensuring comprehensive project management:

• Concept Stage: Defining briefs, leading workshops, approving concepts, and managing budgets and risks.
• SD/DD Stage: Coordinating consultants, monitoring programme and quality, and reviewing design compliance.
• Construction Stage: Participating in site reviews, resolving issues, and monitoring permits and approvals.
• Handover: Supporting inspections, commissioning, defects management, and operational readiness.

Leadership Responsibilities

This role involves significant leadership, contributing to team development and strategic initiatives across the destination. The Manager - Development will provide leadership to development teams, mentor staff, influence stakeholders, and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in development management. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
