About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya is a pioneering development located outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, designed to be a leading destination for entertainment, sports, and culture. As part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the project aims to diversify the economy and enhance quality of life through large-scale, sustainable infrastructure and unique visitor experiences. This full-time role for a Manager Marker Space Cultural Program offers an opportunity to contribute to one of the world's largest urban developments, creating a new economic sector and community.

Role Purpose

The Manager Marker Space Cultural Program is responsible for leading the development and delivery of interactive maker space programs. These programs will focus on crafts, creativity, and hands-on cultural experiences, ensuring engaging and accessible offerings for diverse audiences within Qiddiya.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hands-on, interactive maker space programs aligned with cultural themes, including workshops, demonstrations, and creative experiences for various audiences.
  • Ensure the diversity and accessibility of all creative offerings.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage artisans, creators, and facilitators, overseeing their schedules, participation, and workshop delivery to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Ensure maker spaces are operationally ready, including tools, materials, and safety measures. Coordinate with Operations and Facilities Management for setup and maintenance of spaces, and manage resource planning and replenishment.
  • Oversee the delivery of workshops and interactive sessions, ensuring high levels of participation and engagement while maintaining safety and quality standards during all activities.
  • Monitor program performance by tracking participation rates and engagement levels, adjusting workshop offerings based on demand and feedback.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in creative programming, workshop delivery, or hands-on cultural and educational experiences.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering interactive, hands-on programs, workshops, or maker space activities.
  • Strong understanding of creative disciplines such as crafts, design, traditional making, or cultural production.
  • Ability to develop engaging and accessible experiences for diverse audience groups (families, youth, adults).
  • Experience working with artisans, craftspeople, creative practitioners, and facilitators, including their identification, onboarding, and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple facilitators delivering parallel sessions and to deliver interactive experiences in public-facing environments with continuous high visitor engagement.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills for direct audience engagement.
  • Experience managing environments involving tools, materials, equipment, and hands-on visitor participation, with a strong awareness of health, safety, and risk management to ensure safe, controlled, and well-supervised delivery of activities.
  • Experience managing physical creative spaces or studios, including setup, layout, flow, material planning, inventory, and resource usage, and coordinating space utilization for multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Background in maker spaces, innovation labs, creative hubs, museums, cultural institutions, interactive exhibitions, festivals, or public engagement programs.
  • Exposure to traditional crafts or cultural making practices is highly preferred.
