Manager Project & Programme Risk

About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Manager Project & Programme Risk to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks across various project aspects, including cost, schedule, quality, safety, procurement, and delivery strategies.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Manager Project & Programme Risk supports informed decision-making by providing structured risk analysis and facilitating stakeholder engagement. The role is responsible for maintaining robust risk governance, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and project objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor project risks across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop, update, and maintain Project/Program/PMC Risk Registers.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular risk review workshops with the Client, PMC team, consultants, and contractors as required.
• Clearly define risks, challenges, and issues, and escalate them to management in a timely manner.
• Prepare and update risk mitigation and response plans, and monitor their implementation.
• Report on key risks, trends, and mitigation effectiveness through periodic risk reports.
• Support the development and application of risk probability and impact matrices.
• Support risk identification related to cost, schedule, quality, safety, and procurement.
• Provide risk input during pre-construction, design, procurement, and construction stages.
• Support the review of contracts, procurement strategies, and delivery methods from a risk perspective.
• Assist in assessing risks associated with different project delivery systems (lump sum, cost-plus, target cost, etc.).
• Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify and evaluate risk issues.
• Maintain risk data within approved risk management tools and databases.
• Ensure compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project and programme risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across various project phases and aspects.
• Strong understanding of risk governance and compliance with organizational standards.
• Experience in facilitating risk review workshops and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
