About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Manager – Transport Advisory and Planning to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading and delivering complex transport planning, mobility strategy, and advisory projects for clients across both public and private sectors. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams and provide strategic insights, leveraging strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and consulting experience in the transport planning field.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transport advisory and planning projects from initiation through to completion.
• Develop and critically review transport strategies, mobility plans, and policy frameworks.
• Oversee transport modelling activities, including network development, demand forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Provide guidance on GIS-based spatial analysis and the implementation of data-driven transport planning solutions.
• Manage the collection, validation, and analysis of data for traffic and mobility studies.
• Offer technical expertise in areas such as urban mobility, traffic engineering, and multi-modal transport systems.
• Prepare and review technical reports, project proposals, and client presentations.
• Engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and government authorities to advance project objectives.
• Mentor and manage junior staff, interns, and consultants.
• Support business development initiatives through proposal writing, bid management, and client acquisition efforts.
• Ensure the timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects, meeting all quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 6–10+ years of professional experience in transport planning, modelling, or advisory roles.
• Demonstrated experience in managing transport planning or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of transport policies, planning methodologies, and mobility systems.
• Hands-on experience with transport modelling software such as VISUM, Vissim, or Aimsun.
• Proficiency in GIS tools, including ArcGIS or QGIS, and data analysis techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with government agencies, urban local bodies, or international clients.
• Knowledge of sustainable mobility principles and smart city initiatives.
• Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Python, R, or Matlab for data analysis.
• Relevant certifications or specializations in transport planning or traffic engineering.
