Marketplace Operations Specialist

About the Role

Laverne Group is seeking a Marketplace Operations Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for managing and coordinating the entire order fulfillment process for online marketplace orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Role Purpose and Coordination

The Marketplace Operations Specialist ensures that orders from various marketplace platforms are processed, picked, packed, dispatched, and delivered accurately and on time. The specialist will work closely with warehouse, inventory, logistics, customer service, finance, and e-commerce teams to maintain high order accuracy, inventory availability, and efficient fulfillment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and process daily orders from marketplace and e-commerce platforms, ensuring correct transfer to ERP/WMS systems.
• Review and prioritize pending, unprocessed, failed, cancelled, and delayed orders based on marketplace cut-off times and SLA requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for timely picking, packing, and dispatch, verifying correct SKU, quantity, and order information.
• Ensure compliance with marketplace-specific packing, labeling, invoicing, and shipping requirements.
• Monitor marketplace inventory, identify out-of-stock items, and coordinate stock reconciliation between platforms, ERP, and WMS.
• Coordinate order handover to courier and last-mile delivery partners, monitoring shipment status and addressing delivery exceptions.
• Process and monitor customer returns, Return-to-Origin (RTO) shipments, and coordinate returned inventory.
• Ensure fulfillment activities comply with each marketplace's operational requirements and monitor order processing and dispatch SLAs.
• Work with marketplace portals, ERP, WMS, OMS, and courier systems, ensuring accurate data and investigating integration issues.
• Maintain daily operational trackers and fulfillment reports, recommending improvements for recurring system or operational issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in marketplace operations or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage order fulfillment processes from creation to delivery.
• Experience coordinating with various internal and external teams, including warehouse, logistics, and customer service.
• Familiarity with ERP, WMS, OMS, and marketplace portal systems.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics monitoring.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure seamless marketplace operations.
