About the Role

Takamul PMC is seeking a Medical Planner / Senior Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading healthcare planning and architectural design reviews for significant healthcare projects. The role requires extensive experience and close collaboration with clients, end users, and design consultants to ensure the delivery of functional, compliant, and high-quality healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead medical planning and architectural design reviews for various departments, including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and support areas.
• Develop and review functional programs, space programs, departmental layouts, and pre-concept designs.
• Engage with clients and end users to understand clinical workflows, operational requirements, and departmental adjacencies.
• Review and manage deliverables from healthcare design consultants, ensuring adherence to project requirements and standards.
• Provide guidance on medical equipment planning and clinical functionality.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, structural, and specialist consultants.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, finishes, RFIs, and technical submissions related to architectural works.
• Act as a primary client interface for medical planning and architectural matters.
• Ensure compliance with FGI, JCI, MOH, CBAHI, Saudi Building Code, Municipality, and Civil Defense requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience specifically in healthcare/hospital planning and design.
• A minimum of 8 years of healthcare planning experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare planning principles, clinical workflows, and hospital design standards.
• Proficiency in relevant design, BIM, and presentation software.
• Architectural registration and LEED / EDAC certification are preferred.
• Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama.
