About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Manager for In-Room Dining to oversee daily operations in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on leading a team to deliver exceptional food and beverage service to guestrooms and hospitality suites, while managing operational budgets and contributing to overall guest satisfaction.

Operational Management

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of Room Service operations. Key duties include supervising and directing employees, ensuring adherence to property policies, and maintaining consistent operational standards. The position involves overseeing daily shift operations, ensuring compliance with all Room Service policies and procedures, and managing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.

Team Leadership and Development

The Manager will lead the Room Service team by fostering a collaborative environment, encouraging mutual trust, and demonstrating integrity. This includes setting performance standards, providing guidance and feedback, and monitoring employee productivity. The role involves communicating performance expectations, celebrating team successes, and ensuring regular communication to align with business objectives and achieve desired results. Developing employees through coaching and training is also a key aspect of this leadership position.

Financial and Guest Service Oversight

The position requires an understanding of departmental budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in financial management and achieve budgeted goals for controllable expenses. A primary focus is on ensuring exceptional customer service by exceeding guest expectations, gathering feedback on product quality and service levels, and empowering employees to deliver outstanding service. Handling guest problems and complaints effectively is also a critical responsibility.

Human Resources and Training

This role involves identifying the developmental and educational needs of employees, providing coaching, and developing training programs. Supporting a departmental orientation program for new hires and ensuring they receive appropriate training to perform their jobs successfully is essential. The Manager will also train staff and monitor adherence to cash handling and credit policies, while actively soliciting employee feedback to address concerns and foster a positive work environment.

Additional Responsibilities

The Manager will provide information to supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates through various communication channels. This includes analyzing information, evaluating results to solve problems, and recognizing good quality products and presentations. The role supports the broader food and beverage/culinary team by assisting in other outlets when necessary.
