About the Role

Aventus is seeking a Mid Senior Banking & Finance Associate Lawyer, a Saudi National, to join its Riyadh office. This full-time position is within a leading global law firm's highly regarded Banking & Finance practice.

Role Context

The role involves advising domestic and international financial institutions, sponsors, government entities, and major corporates on significant financing transactions within the Kingdom. The successful candidate will work closely with leading partners on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, with client contact and responsibility from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a broad range of conventional and Islamic Finance & Banking matters.
  • Providing counsel on Islamic finance and Shari'ah-compliant structures.
  • Handling syndicated and bilateral lending transactions.
  • Managing corporate finance matters.
  • Advising on acquisition finance.
  • Supporting project finance initiatives.
  • Addressing real estate finance transactions.
  • Managing refinancing and restructuring transactions.
  • Drafting and advising on security arrangements and financing documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Requires 3–9 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Must possess strong Banking & Finance experience gained at a leading international or top-tier regional law firm.
  • Experience in Islamic Finance and Shari'ah-compliant financing structures is highly advantageous.
  • Experience advising lenders, borrowers, sponsors, or financial institutions on complex financing transactions is required.
