About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Mixologist to join our full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to providing exceptional beverage service, focusing on precise drink preparation and maintaining a high standard of bar operations. The Mixologist contributes directly to the guest experience through professional service and an organized, clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes, utilizing precise measuring systems.
  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness and optimal condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and all associated tools.
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks as required to meet presentation standards.
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and transport necessary supplies to the bar set-up area.
  • Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables, placing them in designated cleaning areas.
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for all bar inventory and supplies.

Operational Duties and Guest Service

  • Process all payment methods accurately and efficiently.
  • Count the cash bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
  • Secure coolers, cabinets, and storage areas at the close of operations.
  • Complete all assigned closing duties thoroughly.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, proactively address guests’ service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues using clear and professional language.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

  • Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all aspects of the role.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
  • Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
  • Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Skill to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
  • License or Certification: No specific license or certification is required.
