About the Network Lead Role

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Network Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of the organization's networking environment. The position requires an expert understanding of complex network and security architectures, proven ability to troubleshoot high-impact issues, and the capability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering secure and resilient infrastructure, particularly within a regulated financial environment. This role involves a strategic approach to network architecture, design, and continuous improvement to meet stringent compliance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of enterprise network and security architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance mandates.
  • Integrate network security principles into all architectural decisions and project planning.
  • Collaborate with design and architect teams for new projects and initiatives.
  • Own and resolve high-severity incidents, performing deep-dive analysis across all network layers (Layer 1-7), including networking, firewalls, routing, DNS, proxies, and cloud networking.
  • Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement effective long-term preventive measures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance across various network technologies, including routing, switching, next-generation firewalls (NGFW), load balancers, VPNs, SD-WAN, ACI, SD-Access, and network access control (NAC).
  • Encourage and facilitate skill development across multiple technology domains within the team.
  • Implement and maintain robust network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust strategies to enhance the security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on incident response and threat mitigation efforts.
  • Oversee the performance, availability, and efficiency of the network and its associated security services.
  • Develop and enforce network operations procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Lead critical infrastructure projects, including network migrations, upgrades, and establishing partner connectivity.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the secure rollout of new services and systems.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and policies to meet the requirements of financial sector audits and compliance checks, such as PCI-DSS and ISO 27001.
  • Implement and manage proactive monitoring for performance and threats using tools like SIEM, NMS, and flow analysis.
  • Define thresholds, alerts, and escalation workflows for both operational and security incidents.
  • Provide coaching, conduct regular performance reviews, and develop growth plans for team members.
  • Foster a team culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Utilize documentation tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Visio, and Lucidchart to create and maintain accurate network documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with compliance, audit, and organizational standards.
  • Deliver strong presentations to stakeholders on network-related topics.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar leadership role.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions, network security, and firewall administration.
  • Proficiency with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
  • Comprehensive full-stack network knowledge, encompassing routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, SD-WAN, NAC, Wi-Fi, ACI, and SD-Access.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing secure, scalable, and high-performance networks.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor, multi-layer issues under pressure.
  • Understanding of secure cloud networking principles within Azure and AWS, and experience with hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including Cybersecurity Framework, NCA, ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Work Environment and Additional Information

Preferred certifications include Cisco CCIE (Enterprise preferred), CISSP / CISM, and Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure Network Specialty).
