NPI \\ Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Thales Group is seeking an NPI \\ Maintenance Technician to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on supporting and monitoring data processing activities while ensuring reliable equipment performance and minimizing downtime. The technician will contribute to continuous improvement in compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate product or data processing issues effectively during daily production briefings.
• Provide first-line incident support for personalization and infrastructure issues.
• Process customer test cycle (SAT/UAT) submissions, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Administer change request notifications.
• Offer technical support and advice to other operational departments and teams.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment faults.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Report all equipment issues, breakdowns, and recurring faults to the Maintenance Manager in a timely and clear manner.
• Utilize technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools for accurate maintenance activities.
• Support machinery installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Respond effectively to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company policies.
• Accurately record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment condition.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance and technical support.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment faults.
• Proficiency in using technical documentation and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of operational, safety, and quality standards.

HSE Responsibilities

• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others to the extent practicable.
• Be aware of and actively contribute to the achievement of Thales' HSE policy and objectives.
• Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
• Use safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required and intended.
• Lead by example and actively encourage departments to identify ways to conserve water and energy, minimize waste generation, and promote recycling.
• Exercise the right to stop work if activities are believed to affect personal health and safety or that of others, reporting such conditions immediately to the line manager and the HSE department.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the technician will work within an operational environment focused on maintaining critical infrastructure and supporting data processing activities. The role involves coordination with various departments and adherence to strict safety and quality protocols.
