Role Overview: Operations Manager — Electronics Vertical

Soum is seeking an Operations Manager — Electronics Vertical to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to Soum's electronics business, requiring high ownership and delivering significant impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving end-to-end operations, from inbound inventory and quality control to last-mile delivery and customer fulfillment. This position involves setting operational tempo, defining standards, and ensuring execution with precision and discipline. The ideal candidate builds systems and teams that provide full visibility and control, takes complete ownership, acts decisively, and drives results.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and scale operational processes for the electronics vertical, or significantly enhance existing operations.
• Establish standard operating procedures, performance benchmarks, and quality frameworks to support rapid growth.
• Oversee the full operational lifecycle, including inventory management, warehousing, quality inspection, dispatch, and last-mile delivery.
• Manage the analytics layer of operations by defining key performance indicators (KPIs), building dashboards, and utilizing data for problem diagnosis and decision-making.
• Apply quantitative analysis to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, optimize capacity, and allocate resources effectively.
• Identify and integrate AI tools and automation into operational workflows to enhance speed, accuracy, and team output.
• Stay informed on technological advancements in operations and implement modern tooling, such as warehouse management systems and AI-assisted process design.
• Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously with clear plans, defined milestones, and tracked progress.
• Anticipate risks and develop contingency plans.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Tech, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to achieve shared goals.
• Build, develop, and lead an operations team, setting high standards, providing clear direction, and ensuring accountability.
• Foster an environment where team members understand expectations, possess the necessary tools, and receive continuous development.

Required Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of progressive operations experience, preferably in e-commerce, last-mile delivery, logistics, or similar high-throughput environments.
• Demonstrated track record of building large-scale operations from inception or significantly scaling existing ones.
• Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with data analysis, and capable of building or interpreting analytical models to guide decisions.
• Proficiency with operational tooling and tech stacks relevant to e-commerce and logistics environments.
• Genuine interest in AI developments, proactive experimentation with new tools, and ability to apply them to operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Saudi market and its operational dynamics.
