We are seeking a visionary and innovative Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the head of our pastry department, you will be responsible for creating exceptional desserts, managing a team of skilled pastry chefs, and elevating our culinary offerings to new heights. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative dessert menus, seasonal specials, and showpieces that reflect both local and international flavors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of pastry chefs, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Oversee daily production, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality output across all outlets (buffet, à la carte, banquets, in-room dining).
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, costing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure proper storage, freshness, and consistent quality of all baked goods and ingredients.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance skills, creativity, and food safety practices.
  • Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards throughout the pastry kitchen.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
  • Manage budgets and control food costs while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Participate in special events and promotions to showcase the pastry department's offerings.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in high-end pastry kitchens, including leadership roles.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional pastry training.
  • Advanced skills in pastry techniques, chocolate work, sugar art, and baking.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative menus and create visually stunning desserts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in culinary software and modern kitchen equipment.
  • Current ServSafe certification and in-depth understanding of food safety standards.
  • Expertise in Middle Eastern and international pastry traditions.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions, allergen management, and alternative baking methods.
  • Creativity and artistic flair in dessert presentation.
  • Ability to adapt to local tastes and preferences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
