About Parsons and the Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Planner who is a Saudi National to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position will support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for a significant airport airfield and infrastructure development project. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, including baseline programs, recovery schedules, and detailed execution plans, in line with project requirements.
- Review project scope, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and activity sequencing to ensure accurate planning.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project management) to develop realistic project programs and ensure alignment with contractual milestones.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules, identify delays, trends, and potential risks, and collect progress updates from project teams and contractors.
- Analyze actual progress, planned progress, productivity trends, and schedule performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule performance updates, highlighting critical activities, delays, and recovery requirements.
- Support planning for airfield and infrastructure works, including civil works, utilities, buildings, and associated systems.
- Review contractor schedules, work sequences, and construction methodologies, assessing progress and potential impacts on project milestones.
- Maintain project schedules using recognized planning tools, perform critical path and float analysis, and conduct schedule impact assessments.
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement, supporting the preparation of mitigation and recovery plans.
- Monitor changes and variations, assessing their impact on project timelines.
- Participate in planning meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops, facilitating communication among project stakeholders.
- Support the integration of planning activities with cost control, risk management, and reporting functions, providing schedule information for decision-making.
- Assist in preparing earned value analysis and performance measurement reports.
- Review contractor baseline schedules, updates, recovery plans, and claims, assessing progress submissions and identifying inconsistencies.
- Prepare and maintain planning documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and planning registers, ensuring accurate records.
- Ensure project planning activities consider HSE, quality, and operational requirements, integrating safety milestones and handover activities into schedules.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for major infrastructure, airport, transportation, construction, or EPC projects.
- Experience in developing and managing project schedules across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and contractors, particularly on large-scale capital projects with complex interfaces.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of project planning principles, construction sequencing, and project controls methodologies.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools.
- Understanding of WBS development, critical path analysis, progress measurement, and schedule reporting.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and infrastructure project delivery processes.
- Ability to analyze schedule performance and identify potential delays.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Desired Attributes
- Experience working on airport, airfield, transportation, or major infrastructure development projects.
- Knowledge of aviation project constraints and airside construction requirements.
- Experience working under FIDIC, EPC, design-build, or similar contract frameworks.
- Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and integrated project controls.
- Experience with risk-informed planning and schedule risk analysis.
- Familiarity with digital project management platforms and reporting tools.
- Strong experience supporting client and contractor coordination.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting a critical infrastructure development project.
