About the Opportunity

Multilink Management Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is focused on Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities within Oil & Gas EPC projects. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and offers a competitive salary range of SAR 5,000 โ€“ 7,000 per month.

Role Purpose

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of all Electrical & Instrumentation activities. This role is critical for ensuring that project milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively, adhering strictly to the approved schedule and budget for Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for E&I works using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare baseline schedules, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization for E&I activities.
  • Track procurement and material delivery schedules related to E&I works.
  • Prepare progress measurement reports, S-curves, histograms, and productivity reports.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and company procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience specifically in EPC Oil & Gas projects.
  • Knowledge of advanced project controls, planning techniques, and reporting systems.
  • Experience handling multidiscipline construction projects.
  • Familiarity with standards from major Oil & Gas entities such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or ADNOC.
