About the Planning Engineer Role

Pico Play is seeking a Planning Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to manage project schedules for mid-sized construction and thematic fabrication projects. This full-time position, based in the Riyadh Region, requires an independent professional capable of overseeing project timelines from initiation to completion.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive management of project schedules. This includes developing contract baselines, implementing dynamic updates to reflect live progress, and managing client requirements. A key aspect of this role involves protecting the company by preparing detailed Extension of Time (EOT) and Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to address project delays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and establish contract baselines (BL) using project drawings and scope.
  • Maintain the active working program, ensuring scheduling logic accurately represents site and production sequences.
  • Serve as a direct interface with clients and main contractor project controls teams, defending schedule architecture and managing reporting requirements.
  • Generate data-backed Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports detailing critical path shifts, progress percentages, and milestone variances.
  • Construct duration logic to identify and isolate delays, preparing forensic Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) claim packages.

Technical Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience as a project planner, preferably in specialized subcontracting, thematic fabrication, entertainment architecture, or complex fit-out projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional.
  • Experience mapping P6 project data into construction management platforms such as Procore is highly advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of delay analysis methodologies, specifically Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
  • Experience structuring functional Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to track project lifecycle stages.

Required Skills

  • Ability to mathematically prove delay liability within P6.
  • Capability to manage demanding client requirements and reporting under pressure.
  • Proficiency in preparing robust Extension of Time (EOT) claim packages.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Region. The role requires independent work and direct client interaction.
