About the Role

Amazon's International Public Policy team is seeking a Public Policy Manager to join its dynamic and growing team. This role will support Amazon's global consumer and digital businesses, working across a broad spectrum of policy issues that are forward-thinking and customer-centric. The position is based in Riyadh and is a full-time role.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Public Policy Manager, KSA will be responsible for engaging with policymakers and non-governmental organizations to support Amazon's consumer-focused business model within the country. This involves developing a strong understanding of the public policy and regulatory landscape, as well as identifying key stakeholders. The role requires coordination across Amazon's business units, both locally and globally, to create and implement positioning and engagement strategies. Key responsibilities include designing external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives to achieve business objectives. The manager will also coordinate Amazon's engagement with relevant industry associations and broader coalitions, and manage consultancy support. This position demands the ability to develop solutions for complex business challenges and provide clear, confident guidance, even in ambiguous situations. The successful candidate will operate respectfully and collaboratively within wider regional and international structures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or Economic Development.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in public policy.
• Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading English.
• Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading Arabic.

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a related public policy field.
• Experience working collaboratively at a high level within a highly-matrixed environment, alongside teams including Legal, PR, and business units.
• Experience in public policy within consumer-facing, technology, or retail companies.
• Project management experience.
• Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A self-starter capable of taking general direction and producing specific results.
• Ability to coordinate a wide array of internal and external resources to obtain, process, and operationalize information and strategy.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Capability to confidently use experience and data to assess and recommend a best course of action, even in ambiguous situations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role is part of Amazon's International Public Policy team, which operates across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia Pacific.
