About Extendicare and the Receptionist Role

Extendicare invites applications for a Part-time Receptionist to join our team in Al Mithab, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is based at our 204-bed Long-Term Care facility, serving as a primary point of contact for the public and providing essential administrative support.

Role Overview

The Receptionist plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the facility, reporting directly to the Office Manager. This position encompasses a blend of clerical, business office, systems, and accounting duties, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a professional front desk presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and the public, providing general information as required.
  • Provide comprehensive clerical support, including creating, editing, and formatting various documents such as letters, memos, minutes, presentations, forms, and charts.
  • Manage the main telephone line, answering calls and directing them appropriately.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies, ensuring timely distribution to other departments.
  • Maintain internal records and prepare reports for the facility, upholding strict confidentiality of all financial, personnel, and resident data.
  • Manage accounting records, including accounts payable/receivable and petty cash.
  • Process payments from families, address billing queries from residents and/or families, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile resident trust accounts.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Financial Services Terminology.
  • Support the maintenance of the operating budget, inventory management, and budgetary controls.
  • Adhere to safe work practices as instructed by the Office Manager and in compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Strong organizational and clerical support skills.
  • Proficiency in document creation, editing, and formatting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for greeting the public and handling telephone inquiries.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Competence in basic accounting principles, including accounts payable/receivable and petty cash management.
  • Familiarity with Financial Services Terminology.
  • Ability to manage inventory and assist with budgetary controls.
  • Commitment to following Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
