The Role of Rolling Stock Lead

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Rolling Stock Lead to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading a team in delivering technical services for the installation, testing, and commissioning of rolling stock and depot equipment systems. The Lead Rolling Stock ensures that project requirements are met within budget and align with key performance indicators, while providing safe and fit-for-purpose vehicles and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Systems Manager, the Lead Rolling Stock will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all rail systems, rail infrastructure, and rolling stock testing and commissioning activities, and monitoring sub-contractors' testing, commissioning, and handover work.
• Developing and reviewing engineering, quality, and operational standards, as well as specifications, procedures, and instructions for electronic rolling stock systems and related equipment.
• Reviewing and commenting on all testing and commissioning programs, procedures, and reports, considering operation and maintenance requirements.
• Monitoring all testing activities (Type Testing, Performance Testing, Routine Testing, Dynamic Testing, and Final Testing) and identifying issues and opportunities for improvements.
• Ensuring the accuracy of work produced by designers and design and build contractors in terms of system integration, test, and commissioning.
• Reviewing system integration management activities to ensure proper integration of equipment and data.
• Coordinating and monitoring rolling stock related interfaces and integration with other disciplines (Platform Screen Doors, Signaling, SCADA, and Power Supply).
• Monitoring and ensuring the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance for rolling stock and related features.
• Liaising with other disciplines and contractors to ensure proper integration and configuration of the system for all project aspects.
• Liaising with System Interface Managers of contractors to plan and schedule integration tests, documentation, and submission of result reports.
• Identifying, initiating, and implementing corrective actions and process improvement methodologies in line with cost reduction and lean organization principles.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of rolling stock systems, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Ability to ensure project requirements are met within budget and aligned with KPIs.
