About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh is seeking a dedicated Rooms Controller to join its team on a full-time basis. This role is central to managing guest room assignments and preferences, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for all guests. The Rooms Controller plays a key part in upholding the brand's renowned "Gold Standards" of luxury service by meticulously coordinating guest arrivals and maintaining accurate records.

Core Responsibilities

• Assign rooms based on guest requests and preferences whenever possible, pre-registering designated guests and preparing key packets.
• Organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Review, track, and accommodate requests for room and check-out changes, communicating status to appropriate staff.
• Confirm reservations and cancellations, and review out-of-order rooms daily.
• Ensure rates match market codes and document any exceptions; verify and adjust billing for guests.
• Set up and process all guest check-ins and check-outs, activate room keys, and secure valid payment.
• Identify any over-commitments and perform duplicate reservation checks, blocking rooms as needed.
• Run daily reports and follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction.
• Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and coordinate tasks effectively with other departments.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and serve as a departmental role model, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Proficiency in entering and locating information using computers and/or POS systems.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Less than one year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
