Sahara Maintenance Services is seeking a Safety Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is dedicated to ensuring a safe working environment across various projects and operational sites, while maintaining strict compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.

Role Overview

The Safety Engineer will be responsible for implementing and overseeing comprehensive safety protocols. This role involves proactive hazard identification, development of preventive measures, and continuous monitoring to uphold the highest standards of occupational health and safety within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards at work sites before and during operations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures, plans, and preventive measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Conduct safety briefings and awareness sessions for employees and workers.
• Ensure the availability and readiness of fire-fighting equipment, emergency exits, and evacuation procedures.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and project requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in safety engineering.
• Preferably experienced in construction, facility management, or maintenance projects.
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response procedures.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
• Good knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Proficiency in fire safety and general workplace safety practices.
