About the Role

AECOM Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Specialist III to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves performing moderately complex technical work across various environmental, safety, and health disciplines. The specialist will operate under limited supervision, ensuring compliance with ES&H standards and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview

The Safety, Health & Environment Specialist III is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of specific government agency requirements and applying fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within their environmental specialty. This role requires the ability to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions for various ES&H challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
• Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases within the work environment.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints related to workplace hazards.
• Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
• Develop and conduct employee training, emergency preparedness programs, and assure the quality of these programs.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice on ES&H matters.
• May act as a lead for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel.
• May administer an ES&H program on small or medium-sized projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of environmental specialties.
• Proven capability to independently determine and develop solutions to complex technical issues.
