Safety Officer

About the Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join its contracting and construction team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on construction sites, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and project safety standards. The Safety Officer will be instrumental in promoting a strong safety culture, preventing accidents, and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety plans.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and project safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for workers and staff.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation as required.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar safety role within the contracting and construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor HSE policies effectively.
• Strong understanding of local safety regulations and project safety standards.
