About the Role

Carrier, a global leader in HVAC, refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions, is seeking a Sales Engineer specializing in VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems for its operations in Riyadh. This permanent, full-time position is focused on enhancing market coverage and driving sales growth within the central region of Saudi Arabia. The role contributes to a company committed to developing new technologies and providing industry-leading services, with a focus on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance market coverage for VRF systems within the central region.
  • Forecast monthly sales and bookings accurately.
  • Follow up on quotation status with customers, understand their requirements, and coordinate with application engineers.
  • Obtain factory pricing by completing necessary formalities and documentation.
  • Review sales contracts and agree on terms such as payment, LC, and warranty with customers, ensuring adherence to the approval process.
  • Submit sales orders to the factory in coordination with Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics departments.
  • Adhere to payment terms and conditions and assist in collection efforts.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings to review sales performance, aging, and collections.
  • Review and approve costing sheets and quotations according to the established approval matrix.
  • Review the monthly online backlog report.
  • Attend factory equipment witness tests to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Generate new inquiries through proactive market visits to contractors, consultants, retailers, and dealers.
  • Ensure customers are periodically updated with the latest software, catalogues, and relevant information from Carrier.
  • Create quotations that align with project specifications.
  • Perform technical submittals and clarifications, coordinating with the Sales Manager for order finalization.
  • Ensure sales coordinators issue proper invoicing.
  • Follow up on the delivery process with the Logistics department.
  • Follow up on payment and collection terms in coordination with the Finance Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of sales experience in HVAC or similar industries is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of the market and HVAC/VRF products.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales specifically for the central region of Saudi Arabia.
  • This role is exclusively for Saudi Nationals.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in sales techniques and strategies.
  • Expertise in HVAC systems and VRF products.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Skilled in negotiation.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
