Senior AR Accountant

About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Senior AR Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves preparing month-end journal entries and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the accounts receivable function.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries to ensure proper transaction recording.
• Identify, recommend, and resolve issues and process improvement opportunities at the account and business group level, adhering to GAAP procedures.
• Potentially mentor more junior team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A suggested minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a total experience range of 2-5 years.
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve daily operational objectives, with some direct impact on others within the area.
• Occasional ability to set and deliver operational objectives that directly impact achieving results within the area.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles with organizational practices.
• Ability to influence primarily internal stakeholders to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
• Aptitude for adapting or enhancing existing methods to improve quality or value as part of day-to-day activities.
• Proficiency in addressing problems and issues that generally fall within a single job area or discipline, with a well-defined scope.
• Capacity to address vaguely defined problems that require understanding and consideration of other job areas.

Work Environment and Scope

This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading others. The application of knowledge is primarily domestic, limited to locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar cultures.
